Winter Formal at Wyandotte

On Saturday February 9th 2008, Wyandotte high school hosted its Winter formal dance. This year’s theme was Mardi Gras Madness. The colors for the dance were purple, green and gold. The music was good and well selected, and the Cafeteria was well decorated. People were dressed very bright and nice. In the beginning there wasn’t much dancing as many people were waiting to meet up with their friends and show off their formal wear. It seemed that many people decided to go with the Dance colors. But about 30 minutes after, many students started dancing. After about an hour the royal or two court was presented to the dancers. The King and Queen of the Mardi Gras dance were Joshua Wright and Jazmyn McDonald. As the Royal Court was announced many people cheered on and were happy with the winners. All of the members of the Royal Court had their own dance where everyone got to watch or go and get something to eat. Energy was high and people were happy. I didn’t want the dance to end because it was very fun and entertaining. This turned out to be a great dance. I personally liked the Winter Formal but hearing some people in idle conversation they didn’t enjoy it as much as the homecoming. I think that they were both very well planned.
